How refunds work · Galaxium Hosting help
How to ask for a refund, where the money goes, how long it takes, and what is refunded automatically.
The full rules are in our Refund Policy. This article explains how refunds work in practice.
Ask for a refund
- Find the invoice number in Billing → Invoices.
- Open a ticket in the Billing department.
- Give the invoice number and tell us what you'd like refunded.
Our team reviews every request. A refund can be for the whole invoice or part of it, and it is shown on the invoice afterwards.
Where the money goes
| How you paid | Where the refund goes | |---|---| | Card | Back to the same card, or to your account credit if you prefer | | Account credit | Back to your account credit | | Promo credit | Back to your promo credit, never as money |
Card refunds usually take 5–10 business days to show on your statement, depending on your bank. A refund to account credit is there at once and pays your next invoices automatically.
You get a Refund issued email either way.
Refunded automatically
You don't need to ask in these cases:
- Something couldn't be delivered. If you paid for a service we then couldn't set up, that item is refunded to your account credit automatically. If we set it up later, the credit is used for it again.
- You cancelled before a new period started. A renewal you had already paid for the next period goes back to your account credit.
What isn't refunded
The Refund Policy has the full list. In short:
- the unused part of a billing period that has already started (cancelling stops the next renewal instead)
- credit you've already spent
- promo credit, which is never paid out as money
- domain fees once the registration, renewal or transfer is done
Unused account credit
You can ask for unspent account credit to be refunded. If you plan to delete your account, ask for the refund first: credit left on a deleted account is lost.
Warning: Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. While a dispute is open we can't refund that invoice, and the services it paid for may be suspended.
